Rack & Pinion, Chain Drive & Specialty Lifts
Control systems for rack and pinion hoists, chain drive elevators, stage and orchestra lifts, and dumbwaiters.
On rack and pinion equipment the environment usually governs the design before the sequence does. The drive climbs a fixed mast, so the controller sits outdoors and on the structure — exposed to weather, dust, wash-down or a corrosive atmosphere. Enclosure and corrosion class are specified first, from standard construction through watertight and corrosion-resistant builds and hazardous classified locations.
Chain drive, stage and orchestra lifts and dumbwaiters are short-travel equipment, and the protection scheme varies more by jurisdiction and by application than by drive type. Overtravel and final limits, overspeed, slack and broken chain detection, load and platform-position sensing, guarded-zone and emergency stop circuits, and gate and door interlocks are all specified per job.

Every detail below feeds the quote. The more of the hoistway we can see up front, the closer the first price lands — and the fewer calls it takes to get there. Partial is fine; send what you have.
